Moses Patrou is a New York singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer.
Son of the legendary pianist-singer Johnny Chimes, he accompanied his father from the age of 14 in the clubs of the Mid West. His music is imbued with the roots of rhythm’n’blues and soul, with an authentic and irresistible groove. His career led him to specialize as a singer drummer. After “Introducing Moses Patrou“, his first album produced by Léo Sidran, he presents his new EP “Can’t Stop vol.1”. Live, he adds a few covers to his original repertoire, paying tribute to artists such as the Meters, Bill Withers, Taj Mahal…
It was in New York in 2009 that Moses met the pianist-singer Pierre Sibille, who invited him to come and play his music in France. Jérôme Buigues and Sam Favreau from the BLUES’UP collective are also embarking on the project. The musical and human success of this first French tour will lead him to repeat the experience. An album “Live at the Funboard Center” is recorded during his last visit … In September 2015, Moses Patrou will come for the fifth time to share his groove and his beautiful energy with the French public.
